Some of you may know i study human-computer interaction, usability, user centered program design and other such “soft” CS things Knuth and Turing would only sneer upon. Well, Bruce Togazzini has just published a thoughworthy (and amusing) article on PANIC! and how it’s important we take humans’ ability to panic into consideration when we design things.

Tog’s previous column on The Worst Usre Interface Ever is pretty enlightening/amusing stuff even for the non-HCI person.
