UN welcomes John Bolton as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, as appointed by George Dubyah
Bush. (plenty of links today — click ‘em all
Bolton has, and rightly so, commented that “the bolated UN buerocracy can be reduced” (already linked from the “the” above, so i don’t know why i’m bothering to do it again), though his methods for doing so may be a little less orthodox: If the U.N. secretary building in New York lost 10 stories, it wouldn’t make a bit of difference.
(also linked above, from the “as”, and this time i’m not linking again).
I’m sure i have only misunderstood mr. Bolton, and if i had the chance to meet him for a sauna (like the politicians in the good old days in Finland did — scroll down for Kekkonen), i’d be a lot better informed. I’m sure he’s a nice guy, he’s just got a bad rep.
