Destroying the Earth is harder than you may have been led to believe.

Sam Hughes has compiled a scientifically correct HOWTO on How To Destroy The Earth (Via Schneier).What i’m missing is what i call The Balloon Methood (also The Accumulated Pressure Method) where one were to contain the Sun into a sealed container and allow the Sun to pop the container, thus, much like a balloon bursting, would release the accumulated pressure/energy/solar stuff to toast the Earth. Compared to some other methods proposed in the document, this should be an easy one.
