Lately, i’ve been adding photos to Flickr straight from my phone. For this, i’m using a rather nifty series60 application called Merkitys-Meaning (”Merkitys” is “Meaning” in Finnish) that i stumbled over a while ago.

The point of Meaning is not just that it sends pictures to Flickr with a single click, it also adds context information to the picture: rough location using GSM cell information, your current calendar entry and, most controversially, the IDs of all bluetooth devices in the vincinity. That way, i can look for pictures taken near me but not by me. The picknick at Wappu or thefires at Makasiinit would have been obvious setting for this.

There’s something very “2.0” about this.
