Colours and sound

Don’t know exactly where to put it, but Sony has a new ad out about the Bravia LCD television, endowing a Scottish neighbourhood with 70′000 litres of paint (and yes, it’s real paint, as shown in the behind-the-scenes reel). Pretty impressive, but i guess that was the general idea. You may remember seeing a previous one where coloured balls were bouncing en masse down a street.

The reason i’m actually posting this is that the ad features music from the overture from La Gazza Ladra, which was used as an opening tape for Marillion during the Misplaced Childhood years (and later, Fish, during the Childhood returns tour).

I wish i could make a witty remark about “watching paint dry” here, but it’s really about “watching paint explode”. You want to check this out.
