Huge software project management

What started as a whine about the horrendous amount of “bye-bye” options in Windows Vista has turned into a rather interesting tour of software project management.  Joel Spolsky today (well, yesterday) published an entry about the Windows Vista development process (if that’s what you can call it), based on input from a real live and actual Windows engineer, with commentary of reason from Spolsky.

On Monday i wondered what the point of the postings re this chaotic software development process (and sucky usability) was. Well, now i know.  Should prove another interesting read if you’re into software project management of a Big Project.

And i maintain that the software project managers where i work do know better. Or just have smaller projects. Probably both.
